On the morning of August 8, 2025, at the State Banquet Hall, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee – Delegation of the National Assembly – People’s Council – People’s Committee – and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a gathering to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first general election of the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2026) and to review the activities of the 15th-tenure Ho Chi Minh City Delegation of the National Assembly for the 2021–2026 term.

The gathering was attended by many incumbent and former leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Ho Chi Minh City across various periods, along with current and former National Assembly deputies.

Participants revisited the 80-year journey of formation and development of the National Assembly of Vietnam, while expressing gratitude for the significant contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies.
